NCNGA Educational Foundation
Since our inception, we have awarded over $1.4 million in college scholarships to nearly 2000 deserving National Guard members and their families.
The North Carolina National Guard Association Educational Foundation, Inc., was initially established in 1968. Our sole function is to provide college scholarships to members of the NC National Guard and their families. This purpose serves as the motivating force behind every aspect of this Foundation.
The Educational Foundation is governed by an elected Board of Directors. The Board is responsible for various committees which function primarily to acquire scholarship funds and select the most qualified recipients.
The Educational Foundation is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit, tax-exempt organization. As such, the Foundation accepts applications and awards scholarships without regard to race, sex, religion, age or natural origin in accordance with its Bylaws.
Our sole mission is to raise funds to award college scholarships to members of the NC National Guard and their families. This mission is the motivating force behind every aspect of our Education Foundation. We award scholarships on an annual basis. Applicants apply during the first quarter of each year, with the Scholarship Selection Committee meeting in late March/ early April to select candidates.
